After work the following day it was still not fully hardend. I did not want to put another skim on this side. As this stopped play somewhat I decided to improve the design and create some web pages which became this site .

Internal view, Now to form the bottom part of the port.

A flexible plastic plant pot was squeezed in and packed to give an approx oval curve. This was then fiberglassed as before.

Note I still had to cut the self tapper that was holding it on.

In the end I decided to remove the fiberglass that still had not gone off enough. A fresh batch was then used which hardened as expected but needed shaping before filler could be added..
